Privacy Policy

How VectorCraft Online handles your files, browser storage and website data.

Last updated: 2026-10-15

About this policy

This policy covers VectorCraft Online, the independently operated website that hosts the VectorCraft browser editor. References to “we” mean this website's operator. The upstream VectorCraft project and external services have their own policies.

You can use the public editor without creating an account or providing payment details.

Your artwork and files

The hosted editor processes files and artwork in your browser. The current editing workflow does not upload your documents to our servers or provide cloud storage. Saving and exporting write files to your device. We do not use your artwork to train AI models.

The editor may keep preferences and document recovery data in your browser's local storage. This data is tied to your browser and device; it is not a cloud backup. Save important work to your own files before closing the editor, clearing site data or changing browsers.

Website data we handle

  • Connection and security data: our hosting infrastructure may process your IP address, requested URLs, request time, browser details and error information to deliver pages, diagnose problems and prevent abuse. These requests do not include the contents of documents you edit locally.
  • Preferences: cookies or browser storage may remember your language and editor settings.
  • Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you include. Please avoid sending sensitive information or artwork unless it is needed for your request.

We use this information to operate the website, maintain security and respond to enquiries. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure website, processing necessary to respond to your service requests, and legal obligations where they apply. We request consent for optional processing when required.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cloudflare Web Analytics supplies a browser performance beacon on this website. It measures page loads and performance; it does not receive the contents of your local artwork. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free analytics. See Cloudflare’s data collection documentation.

We do not currently display third-party advertisements. Functional browser storage includes language preferences and editor recovery. If data processing changes, we will update this policy and provide the choices required by applicable law.

You can manage cookies and local site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data can remove preferences and recoverable work; export your documents first.

Sharing and external services

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Hosting and email providers may process the limited information necessary to deliver the website and handle correspondence. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to address fraud, abuse or security incidents.

Links to GitHub, Discord and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Public issue tracker posts are public. Requests about private website data should be emailed to us rather than posted upstream.

Service providers may process connection data and correspondence outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to our use of those providers.

Retention and security

We keep server-side information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including resolving enquiries, investigating security incidents and meeting legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Local editor data is subject to your browser's storage settings and the editor's recovery behavior. We cannot retrieve or delete files stored only on your device.

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. No website or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information we hold, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us below; we may need proportionate verification to protect your information.

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request removal.

Updates and contact

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes and provide an additional notice for material changes where required.
